I was commissioned to design this tray for handling, shipping, and storing SemiNex’s laser engine devices. It was expected these parts would be manufactured in the thousands, so the packaging had to be extremely efficient. This design holds 40 laser engines per tray and can be stacked as high as desired (the loading is on the durable aluminum heat sink).

The dimensions of this tray allow snug storage in a 14x12x12-in box which can hold exactly 1200 laser engines.
